About Kamshad Raiszadeh, MD

My mission is simple: help people get out of pain, avoid unnecessary suffering, and return to the life they want—whether that’s through natural healing, advanced non-surgical care, or the right surgical solution. I believe in starting with the body’s own capacity to heal, supported by strong mental and emotional health. When symptoms persist despite these efforts, I help patients make fully informed decisions about all available options, including minimally invasive surgery and motion-preserving procedures such as cervical and lumbar disc replacement.
After earning my undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley, I completed medical school at UC San Francisco, orthopedic surgery residency at UC Davis, and a Pediatric and Adult Spine Fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases/NYU in New York City.
Over the past 30 years, I have treated thousands of patients with both surgical and non-surgical techniques, tailoring care to each person’s needs and goals. In addition to my clinical practice, I have extensive experience in Workers’ Compensation cases, Agreed Medical Evaluations (AME), Independent Medical Examinations (IME), and expert witness testimony. I frequently care for patients recovering from accidents, collaborating with attorneys and case managers to ensure thorough evaluation, clear documentation, and evidence-based treatment plans.
Whether you are exploring non-operative options, considering surgery, or need an experienced spine specialist to evaluate an accident-related injury, my goal is to provide honest guidance, effective treatment, and the best chance for lasting recovery.
