Dr. Kamshad Raiszadeh is a board-certified orthopedic spinal surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of degenerative and select traumatic conditions of the spine. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, followed by fellowship training in spine surgery at the Hospital for Joint Diseases/NYU in New York City.

Dr. Raiszadeh focuses on minimally invasive spinal surgery and motion-preserving techniques such as cervical and lumbar disc replacement. He treats a wide range of spinal disorders, including cervical and lumbar disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, and other degenerative spine conditions. With extensive expertise in both operative and nonoperative care, he emphasizes maximizing the body’s natural healing potential and uses surgery only when necessary.
​In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Raiszadeh has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and delivered presentations at national spine and orthopedic meetings. He collaborated with researchers at UC San Diego on a multiyear NIH-funded project
advancing spine care outcomes. He is the author of Take Back Control, a patient-focused book with more than 40,000 copies distributed, helping individuals avoid unnecessary spinal surgery through education and evidence-based strategies.
Dr. Raiszadeh also holds multiple patents both in nonoperative devices designed to prevent pain and improve function, as well as in innovative orthopedic implant technologies. He is the founder of SpineZone and Livara, holistic, nationally utilized programs created to help patients strengthen their bodies, enhance long-term spine health, and avoid surgery whenever possible.
He enjoys playing tennis, padel, and pickleball, and staying active. He also founded a nonprofit spinal health foundation dedicated to improving posture education for children and expanding access to essential spine care.
